The Lib Dems discover Time Travel

Jeremy Thorpe and Ed Davey step out of the TARDIS circa 1950 to help facilitate a landslide Election victory.

Ed Davey announces to the country “We are the party of the past present and the future”

As the Lib Dems discover time travel. In a recent meeting with Jeremy Thorpe in London 1950 just before the General Election Nick Clegg claims it may be a paradoxical impossibility to alter the past but we feel we are the Party to do so. In the pre election manifesto pledges Ed Davey states that in the future we will alter past election results to make the present a country governed by the Liberal Party. In a recent interview in 2037 Clement Attlee even though inflation is running at 96% the average working man or woman in 2019 will be better off. Ed Silliband (recent defector from Labour) claims that whilst energy bills remain catastrophically high we will counter this by getting banks building societies to offer mortgages at rates that were applicable in 1991.

Haliwide and Nationfax building societies will offer first time buyers Time Frequented mortgages with paradoxically lower rates than those of any future Labour Govt.

David Steel in a party political broadcast in 1931 claims this is not only the way forward, but the way back to a future of enhanced prosperity and we the Lib Dems are the only party capable of taking a back ward step to achieve forward momentum.
