Dastardly plot to blow up the Derwent Dam.

A fiendish plot to blow up the Derwent Dam as been uncovered by detectives investigating the supposed sighting of a Lancaster Bomber flying over the Mohne Dam in Germany. The Lancaster Bomber in question was one of those shot down by German anti aircraft guns during the raid on the Mohne Dam. The aircraft was being piloted by Heinrich Goering (great grandson of the former leader of the Luftwaffe Herman Goering) and co pilot and navigator Fritz Hun with Jerry Can as bomb aimer. When questioned they admitted stealing the aircraft with the intent of blowing up the Derwent Reservoir Dam in revenge for the attack on the Mohne Dam during the second world war.
